LUV My Vitamix & Here Are Great Ways To MAKE Alternative MILKS

All Recipes Are Direct From The Vita-Mix Cookbook

Sesame Milk
3/4 Cup (115g) sesame seeds (Toast Seeds before Blending To Avoid Bitter Tasting Milk)
2 cups (480 ml) water
 
Place all items in Vita-Mix, Secure Lid, Choose Variable Speed #1
Turn on machine & quickly increase speed to 10, then to High, Blend 2 Minutes or until very smooth. Pour into container & store in Fridge, Shake well before drinking.

Rice Milk
1/2 cup (100g) cooked brown rice
2 cups (480ml) water
1/2-1 TBSP Brown Sugar or Other Sweetener
1/2 TSP Vanilla Extract
Place all items in Vita-Mix, Secure Lid, Choose Variable Speed #1
Turn on machine & quickly increase speed to 10, then to High, Blend 2-3 Minutes or until very smooth. Pour into container & store in Fridge, Shake well before drinking.

Quick Vanilla Soy Milk
12.3 Oz (340G) Block Lite Tofu
4 Cups (960ML) water
1-2 TBSP Brown Sugar or 1/4 TSP Agave
1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
Place all items in 32oz Vita-Mix Container, Secure Lid, Choose Variable Speed #1
Turn on machine & quickly increase speed to 10, then to High, Blend 10-15 Seconds.
Pour into container & store in Fridge, Shake well before drinking as fresh Soy Milk separates when chilled.

Sunflower Seed Milk
3/4 cup (35G) sunflower seeds
2 1/2 cups (600ml) water
Brown Sugar or Agave Optional
Place all items in Vita-Mix, Secure Lid, Choose Variable Speed #1
Turn on machine & quickly increase speed to 10, then to High, Blend 2-3 Minutes or until very smooth. Pour into container & store in Fridge, Shake well before drinking.

Almond or Cashew Milk
1 cup (140g) raw unsalted almonds or unsalted cashews
3 cups (720ml) water
Sugar or Sweetener (optional)
Place all items in Vita-Mix, Secure Lid, Choose Variable Speed #1
Turn on machine & quickly increase speed to 10, then to High, Blend 2-3 Minutes or until very smooth. Pour into container & store in Fridge, Shake well before drinking.

Note: If you desire to strain any sediment, place a fine mesh sieve over a large bowl. Pour almond milk slowly into sieve & allow to filter thru, or stir the milk in the sieve with a spatula to encourage it to pass thru sieve much faster. DO not strain if you use cashews as you will lose all your vital nutrients.
